The Red Hand History

The lands of modern-day Japan were relatively untouched by the initial onset of the Confluence, allowing its people to flourish amidst the newfound abundance brought by the magic of the Source. The prosperity of the era, however, did not shield the region from the scourge of war. Despite their deep cultural affinity for peace and harmony, brutal conflicts often disrupted their tranquility.

During one such devastating war, a lone sorcerer warlord found himself cornered within his final stronghold, surrounded by overwhelming enemy forces.

His family had been slain, his allies defeated, and all hope seemed lost. In a final act of vengeance and despair, he performed a dark ritual suicide, channeling forbidden magic to exact retribution upon his enemies.

From his sacrifice emerged a massive portal, a rift that unleashed the Legions of the Red Hand—otherworldly warriors of chaos and brutality. Within a few short years, the Red Hand swept across the land, conquering it with ruthless efficiency. They established a new order, one that perverted the principles of bushido, transforming it into a doctrine of dominance, fear, and unrelenting power. The society they built became a twisted mirror of the noble traditions that had once defined the land, an eerie shadow of its former self.

Red Hand Playstyle

The Red Hand is the embodiment of pure aggression. These otherworldly invaders, driven by an insatiable bloodlust, swarm the battlefield with hordes of goblins, supported by elite hobgoblins, oni, and dragons. The Red Hand boasts the highest total damage output of any faction, favoring devastatingly powerful attacks over precision.

Goblins
Goblins are, well, goblins—weak and cowardly cannon fodder. But don’t underestimate them. When backed by powerful buffs and abilities, swarms of goblins become a terrifying and relentless force, overwhelming enemies through sheer numbers and chaos.

Chaos Magic
Hailing from a realm of chaos, the Templars of the Red Hand are master wielders of chaos magic. Empowered by their shrines and temples, even a single Templar can bring ruin to entire armies. Their chaotic spells further augment their forces, creating unpredictability and destruction on the battlefield.

Hobgoblins
Hobgoblins are the true leaders and strategists of the Red Hand. During their invasion, they adopted a brutal interpretation of Bushido, mastering the art of warfare and bringing disciplined brutality to their ranks. Their skill and leadership elevate the Red Hand’s forces into a finely tuned instrument of destruction.

Oni and Dragons
Following their initial victories, the magi of the Red Hand began corrupting the land’s native spirits, twisting them to their will. Through their dark arts, oni and dragons became loyal servants of the Red Hand, adding immense power and fear to their already formidable arsenal.
